Our new location and first permanent arts studio is finally taking shape at Spinners Mill, Leigh and we cannot wait!
From plans made on the back of a napkin to now receiving donated materials with unit walls going up,it is coming together nicely. As as not for profit community organisation we are extremely grateful to be able to reuse and up cycle unwanted furniture for our new space. Plans are in place with us moving in in late Spring this year. Having our own arts studio space is extremely important so we can expand on the important work supporting adults through mental health recovery, expand our community arts programmes, expand our arts for leisure art groups, a youth arts zone, support and guide new art groups, and support artists in their personal amateur/professional artist careers. We are looking forward to getting started. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our public consultation on Thursday 28th March to find our more and to share your views on what you would like to see at Leigh’s very first community arts studio.
