Spooky Walk @ Jubilee Park 2018
Fundraising to cover the costs that our funders don’t cover is a big part of running Umbrella Arts. We like to do this by having as much fun AS possible and by bringing the community together!
Last year we supported Friends of Jubilee Park to create their first family orientated Spooky Walk with live actors at Jubilee Park, in Ashton in Makerfield. This year Umbrella Arts will be sole organisers and we are SO excited! Last year there were over a 1000 visitors to walk through our woods and web of scary live volunteer actors and props and we hope there to be more this year!
The Spooky Walk will take about 10 minutes around the park, walking through cobweb tunnels, surviving the zombie breakout and meeting the witches three and meeting the chainsaw ghouls! Then hang out with us on the funfair rides and a burger at the end of the walk.
Every single scarer on the day are volunteers and love Halloween! For us it’s important that we raise money but putting on events like this give opportunities for communities to get together and being part of their community, but also for our volunteers to express their hidden artistic talents through acting and live performance, whether beginners or avid professionals.
All profits from the day will go directly back into the Umbrella Arts for us to continue the great work we do and to create future events.
